18th ICCEC in Montréal

The 18^th annual International Conference on Clinical Ethics and Consultation (ICCEC) as well as the 32^nd annual Canadian Bioethics Society (CBS) conference will be held jointly in the vibrant Ville de Montréal, Canada on May 29-31, 2024. The theme of the conference will be “Partnering with Patients and Communities in Healthcare Ethics”

Patient partnership and community engagement have long been recognized as key factors in improving patient care and population health outcomes. From participation in interdisciplinary teams to research and policymaking, patients and communities are now commonly included in the provision and development of healthcare. Living up to the ideal of meaningful partnerships is not without its challenges, especially in our post-pandemic pluralistic societies. Join us in 2024 as a diverse group of ethicists, researchers, healthcare professionals, patients, families and community partners from across the globe discuss how to harness the power of meaningful partnerships in healthcare ethics and consultation.
